Long Course Weekend!

Well, this is a pretty exciting time of year for 4 of our teammates ... time to test out months of training on a full iron-distance race!

Kerry (0222) and Elliot Gowland (1736) are both experienced at this distance, looking to perform well at Ironman Switzerland this Sunday, joined by first-timer Lisa Irving (0209). All 3 - and bikes! - have now arrived safely, so just registration and any last-minute prep to go :) Best wishes all! Live athlete tracking can be found here on Sunday:

Closer to home, Micky Morris is also taking on his first long-course event at the Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham this weekend. Reliably informed by the website that he's off at 6am, white swim cap, number 1161 ... link to live tracking should be up here on Sunday: http://www.onestepbeyond.org.uk/the-outlaw-triathlon-live-2014.php !

Best of luck to newbies and old-timers alike ;) Sure you'll all be fantastic - enjoy it!

Otherwise, we have a number of athletes racing at Bamburgh this weekend at the Castles Triathlon. On Saturday, Gav Richardson, Sean Harrion and Jen Batey are all going for it in the sprint distance - not off till 5pm, so perfect for a trip out to support on what is predicted to be a lovely day! The middle distance is then off on Sunday morning. Steve Williams is sadly still unable to run due to an ongoing injury, but will still be going for the swim and bike, joining other racers Mick Proud, Billy Lamb, and Georgia + Angela Campbell. Good luck all!
