In our final race this weekend,, the not so flat Northumberland half marathon was a blustery affair and well attended with four of our athletes Rob and Angela Wright (the latter taking part in her very first run over this distance) and Georgia and Angela Campbell!
Angela W finished in a very respectable time over this distance, not knowing what to expect. "I loved it. Windy but bright and my first time running so far, eventually my legs ran themselves!"
Rob w seemed happy with his time of 1:48, while Angela C was pleased to hit her target time for the day of 1:40 - closely followed in by Nat Batey of Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue.
Georgia was "chuffed" with her run of 1:29 - a performance she confesses was very unexpected on a tough run, but good enough for 3rd lady. Another weekend podium for the team!
