*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*
It is with great pleasure that I can announce, that Coalfields Race Team will be moving to new facilities as of Tuesday 5th November!
As we discussed at the AGM recently, in order for the club to progress in the right direction, we need to be able to supply our current and future members with facilities that will bring out the best for you all.
Unfortunately, although it was where we were born, Hetton is no longer big enough for our requirements and ambitions.
We have secured training time at Washington Pool, which allows us complete use to ourselves every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 20:30 until 21:30. As with Hetton, Washington is a 25m pool and we will have sole use of all six lanes. This will allow us to avoid overcrowding and will also allow us to grow as a team!
The location of the pool is also more accessible from both A1 and A19 roads from North and South putting us right at the heart of the North East Triathlon Region!!!
So on that note, I would like to announce that Coalfields has all of the club members in mind and also that of any prospective member from around the region! If you yourself, or you know of anyone that is interested in joining Coalfields Race Team please email me in the first instance to

All this leaves me to say is thank you very much to Hetton Community Pool for allowing us the opportunity to establish as the successful racing team that we are over the last year, but looking to the future, thank you to Washington for providing us with fantastic opportunities moving forward!
